Mount Everest

Mount Everest rises above Nepal as a white pyramid of ice and rock. Its summit catches hard sunlight while clouds move across the ridges below. From nearby viewpoints, the mountain feels silent, distant, and almost unreal.

Known in Nepal as Sagarmatha, it is the highest point on Earth and a sacred landmark for many. Visitors remember the sharp air, prayer flags, glaciers, and Sherpa villages on the approach. Its scale stays in the heart long after the view is gone.

Pashupatinath Temple

Pashupatinath Temple rises beside the Bagmati River in eastern Kathmandu. Its gilded pagoda roof, silver doors, and carved wood glow above stone courtyards. Smoke from riverside lamps drifts past shrines, steps, and quiet watching terraces.

The complex is Nepal's holiest Shiva shrine and part of Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO heritage. Pilgrims, sadhus, and visitors share a place where prayer and farewell meet. The evening aarti fills the riverbank with bells, firelight, and a deep human stillness.
