Villa Rufolo

Villa Rufolo sits on a cliff edge in Ravello, 350 metres above the Amalfi Coast. Its Moorish-Norman towers and terraced gardens date to the 13th century. The colors here are precise: terracotta stone, deep green cypress, and the flat blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea below.

Wagner visited in 1880 and declared the garden his inspiration for Klingsor's magic garden in Parsifal. That claim is carved into the site's identity. Every July, the Ravello Festival stages orchestral concerts on a platform suspended over the sea. To stand there at dusk, with the coast fading into haze, is to understand why this place has outlasted every era that has tried to imitate it.

Duomo di Ravello

Duomo di Ravello stands quietly on Piazza Duomo, facing the town’s stone terraces and sea light. Its pale facade is simple, but the bronze doors give it real weight. Inside, marble pulpits, mosaics, and carved details create a calm, ceremonial atmosphere.
